Pattaya United

Full Name: Pattaya United FC
Nickname: The Dolphins
Founded: -
Home Ground: Pattaya Stadium
Manager/Coach: Jatuporn Pramolbal (Thailand)

Pattaya United started out under the banner of Coke-Bangpra Chonburi FC, a name derived from their sponsor and the community Bang Pra in the district Sriracha, the province of Chonburi.

After starting out in the Provincial Leagues, the club won promotion to the Thai Premier League in 2007 where they have stayed ever since.

In 2009, the club relocated to Pattaya, changing their name to Pattaya United and taking on the nickname The Dolphins. The club would just survive the relegation on the pitch, whilst off it their fan-base grew as the holiday destination of Pattaya attracted many foreigners to their games.

Pattaya has a fierce rivalry with Chonburi and Sriracha, who all come from the same province - Chonburi. As a throw back to their history, Pattaya’s away strip is red & black, the same colours that Coke-Bangpra Chonburi used to wear.
