Solo FC were one of 15 new clubs that made up the 19-club Liga Primer Indonesia in its inaugural season.

Based in the Central Javan town of Surakarta (also known as Solo), the team has two Australian players on its list - former Perth Glory GK Aleks Vrteski and midfielder David Micevski.

After 18 games in its inaugural season they sit in 14th place on the table.
