HISTORY
Whilst Perak FA were officially formed on April 18, 1951, Perak FA has entered a team into Malaysian competitions since 1921. They were also one of the founding members of the Malayan Football Association (the predecessor of the modern FAM) which was founded in 1926.

They are the third most successful side in Malaysian football history and in 2003 they became the first team in 13 years to win back-to-back titles.

Their nickname, Seladang, is Malay for Gaur (Indian Bison).
