HISTORY

Chunnam are one of the newest clubs on the scene in Korea, having only been founded in 1995.

Success came to the club relatively early, finishing Runner-Up in the K-League in 1997, whilst lifting the FA Cup and K-League club in the same year under the guidance of Huh Jung-moo, who would go on to lead Korea Republic to the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Despite this, the club never really went on to have sustained success and a few bleak years ensued. Whilst they have replicated their early success in the FA Cup and K-League Cup, they are yet to achieve the ultimate success by lifting the K-League Championship.
