HISTORY
Tampines was developed by several Football enthusiasts in the Tampines area who, after several name changes settled on the ‘Rovers’ name. The club debuted in Divison 3A of the Singapore Amateur Football Association in 1954 but saw little success over the next two decades.

In 1974 they were placed in Division 2 of the newly-formed National Football League and just a season later would be crowned Division 2 champions, earning promotion to Division 1 where they would go on to have success in future years.

One of the oldest surviving clubs in Singapore, Tampines have won five domestic titles including back-to-back S.League championships in 2004 and 2005. The club became the first Singaporean side to win the ASEAN Club Championship in 2005 when they defeated Malaysian club Pahang FA 4-2.
