HISTORY
Mohun Bagan is a sports club in India largely known for its highly successful football team. One of the oldest clubs in Asia, Mohun Bagan were founded on 15 August 1889.

The club has won a significant amount of trophies, holding the record for the most Federation Cup, Durand Cup and Rovers Cup titles. They were also the first club to win the old National Football League three times.

The rivalry between Mohun Bagan and East Bengal dates back to the 1920s and is one of the oldest rivalries in India, regularly attracting almost capacity crowds to the 120,000 seat Salt Lake Stadium when the two clubs play.
