HISTORY
HAL, based in the southern Indian city of Bangalore, earned promotion to the I-League in 2010 after finishing second in the 2010 I-League Second Division. It was far from a successful campaign however, with the club only staving off relegation back to the Second Division in the final round with a surprise 4-2 win over defending champions, Dempo SC.
