It was a relatively quiet week for Asian players across Europe, with most in England having the week off with the FA Cup Fifth Round being played.

There is a slight change to the Asians Abroad update this week and going forward with the introduction of Australia into the list with the help of Anthony Yacoub.

Japan

Eiji Kawashima played a full game for Standard Liege in their 1-0 win over Cercle Brugge in the Belgian Pro League
Hiroshi Ibusuki scored the winning goal for AS Eupen just after half time and was substituted after 72 minutes in their 1-0 win over Tubize in the Belgian Second Division
Makoto Hasebe played a full game for VfL Wolfsburg in their 0-2 loss to Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga

Genki Omae was an unused substitute for Fortuna Dusseldorf in their 1-0 win over Greuther Furth in the Bundesliga
Takashi Inui received a red card for a second bookable offence after 74 minutes for Eintracht Frankfurt in their 0-3 loss to Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga
