Asians Abroad – January 21-23

With the Bundesliga and Eredivisie returning to action from their winter break, more Asian players returned to action with two, Japan’s Mike Havenaar and Hiroshi Ibusuki, making their Eredivisie and La Liga debuts.

Below is a list of players who did and didn’t see action over the weekend.

Atsuto Uchida played a full game for Schalke 04 in their 3-1 win over VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga
Shinji Okazaki was a 62nd minute substitute, and score a late goal, for VfB Stuttgart in their 1-3 loss to Schalke 04 in the Bundesliga (see below)
